The members of the Oceanside Rotary Club enjoyed a Rotarians at Work Day in Oceanside.  Rotarians at Work Day started in our District in 2006.  The day became so infectious that Rotary Clubs from around the world have now embraced the concept.  Generally the fourth Saturday in April is proclaimed as Rotarians at  Work Day.  Clubs are encouraged to choose work project in their community and encourage members in the participate for the day.

This years event chair Renee Richardson wanted to put a little spin on the event. She was pleased to announce the Club's 92 Anniversary and the Rotarians at Work Day will be combined in a celebration.  Members of the Oceanside Rotary Club were instrumental in helping to move the Blade Tribune Building from downtown Oceanside to Heritage Park in 1975.  The building was built in 1893 and members of our club have cleaned and made minor repairs to this historic building over the last few months.

Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Heritage Park the club members assembled and installed new benches and planters for the front porch of the Blade Building.  Later in the day the club members changed into attire from the 1800's and posed for a vintage picture!  Family and friends then enjoyed a BBQ and fellowship in the beautiful park.
